The Trojan’s traveled to Williamston for a six-team invitational.  The Trojans won the meet last year and look to come away with another win.  Owosso used a combination of talent and depth that has lead the team to great success the past two year.  Owosso won 8 of the 13 event and ran away with first place scoring 604 points.  Williamston was second with 467, Eaton Rapids was 3^rd with 377, Corunna 4^th with 362, Ionia was 5^th with 347, Charlotte was 6^th with 170. 

The divers were up first with Katie Clevenger taking 1^st and Faith Gates taking 4^th.  The second event was the IM relay.  The team of Mya LaMay, Lily Davis, Erika Ochodnicy and Lily Espinoza placed 3^rd. Owosso was the only team to have two IM relays with the team of Alexis Chamberlin, Maddy Kregger, Madison Ketchum, Lauren Taylor placed 5^th.  The 3^rd event was the 50 fly.  Macy Irelan got the win for the Trojans, Madison Livingston took 3^rd and Kelsi Parker placed 9^th.  In the 100 fly Allie Pumford placed 2^nd.  In event 5 the medley relay the Trojans cruised to an easy win with the team of Lily Davis, Lily Espinoza, Macy Irelan and Erika Ochodnicky.  The team again showed their depth being the only team placing two relays with the team of Lauren Taylor, Abby Christian, Kelsi Parker and Marissa Spalding placing 4^th. In event 6 the 50 backstroke Alexis Chamberlin lead the way taking 3^rd, Maddy Kregger placed 5^th and Hannah Yerrian was 14^th.  In the 100 backstorke Macy Irelan finished 2^nd, Lily Davis placed 10^th.  The divers were back up and got the win in the diving relay with the team of Gates and Clevenger.  In the 50 free Livingston racked up another win for the trojans with Brooklynn Crackel taking 6^th and Cali Spalding placing 7^th.  In the 100 free Pumford got the win for Owosso, Kregger was 8^th and Chamberlin was 12^th. Gates got in on the swimming and won the 50 breaststroke, Madison Ketchum placed 6^th and Marissa Spalding took 12^th.  In event 12 the 100 breaststroke Espinoza placed 2^nd and Christian was 13^th.  In the final event the Trojans came from behind to get another win with the team Ochodnicky, LaMay, Livingston, and Pumford taking first, Christian, Parker, Marissa Spalding, and Taylor took 7^th and the team of Liz Vreibel, Yerrian, Crackel and Cali Spalding placed 9^th. 

The trojans brought home 24 medals and raced very well.  Coach Murray said “The team turned in many great swims.  It was nice to see so many of the girls who worked hard over the summer turn in some fast swims.  A lot of our newer swimmers also contributed to the win which is a great sign of things to come this season.”
