The Trojans traveled to Fenton on Friday for the Genessee County Meet Prelims.  The girls needed to  place in the top 16 on Friday to advance to the finals on Saturday.  The meet was very fast this year and saw many impressive swims.  The Trojans rose to the occasion turning in numerous lifetime or season best times.  The team will have many girls swimming on Saturday looking to go even faster. 

In the 200 free Allie Pumford place 4^th, Mya LaMay, Lauren Taylor had great swims and turned in lifetime best times.  LaMay droped 2 seconds and just missed the top 16 placinig 17^th. Marissa Spalding had a season best time of 2:47.26.

In the second event Lily Espinoza placed 15^th, Erika Ochodnicky swim looked great and she placed 21^st, Lily Davis  just missed a season best time and placed 23^rd.

In the 50 free Madison Livingston had a season best time placing 15^th.  Cali Spalding had a great day and started off dropping over 2 second for a lifetime best time. Abby Christian, Brooklynn Crackel, Liz Vreibel and Hannah Yerrian all turned in lifetime best times. 

In Diving Katie Clevenger and Faith Gates performed well placing 2^nd and 14^th in perlims and will dive on Saturday. 

In the 100 fly the Trojans got 2 girls in the top 16.  Allie Pumford was 4^th and Macy Irelan was 9^th. 

In the 100 free both Erika Ochodnicky and Madison Livingston both placed in the top 16 and will race on Saturday.  Mya LaMay had a lifetime best time placing 23^rd, Cali Spalding continues her tremendous day dropping almost 8 seconds.  Brookylnn Crackel an Liz Vreibel had great swims and again turned in lifetime best times. 

In the 500 Maddy Kregger was the lone Owsso swimmer.  She swam hard to earn a 23^rd place finish. 

In the backstroke Macy Irelan and Lily Davis both move on to Saturday placing 6^th and 14^th.  Alexis Chamberlin and Kelsi Parker had a good swims placing 18^th and 32^nd.  Lauren Taylor dropped an impressive 3 seconds and turned in a lifetime best time. 

In the final event the breaststroke Lily Espinoza and Faith Gates placed in the top 16 to move on to Saturday.  Abby Christian had a wonderful swim to earn a season best time and Madisyn Kethum was just off her time best time. Marissa Spalding finished off the meet with a lifetime best. 

The girls did what they always do which is swim fast against great competition.  They are looking forward to putting on their tech suits and going even faster on Saturday.  We can’t wait to see what happens!
