The Owosso Varsity Baseball team took the lead late in game 1 vs. Durand and won 10-5 on Wednesday. The game was tied at four with the Trojans hitting in the top of the fifth when Chris Carmody singled, scoring one run. A big inning ensued with the Trojans scoring 6 runs in the 5th. Luke Wheeler got the start for the Trojans on the mound and went five innings, allowing four runs on six hits, striking out ten and walking one. The Trojans tallied 15 hits on the day. Wheeler, Taylor Lamrouex, Joey Wagner, Carmody, and John Meihls each had multiple hits. Joey Wagner closed out the final 2 innings for the Trojans on the mound.
