Owosso cross country kicked off the season on Friday night at the St. John's Under the Lights Invitational. With start times of 9:45 PM for girls and 10:30 PM for boys, the meet is a fun and unique experience for the runners and a great way to get the season going. Our girls team broke in 6 new runners out of our 11 total. Overall, we were impressed with many performances and look forward to watching the girls grow throughout the season. Freshman Emma Johnson paced all Owosso girls with a 24th place finish. All Owosso boys were lead by Senior captain Jorden Sowash, who earned a 6th place finish. Our boys also ran hard with many runners turning in great performances to start the year. We are very excited about what the season will bring!
