The Owosso boy's track and field team competed at the Cavalier True Team Invite on Friday night in which every competitor's place contributes to the final tally. Participating teams included Corunna, Lapeer, Flushing, Okemos, Chesaning, Lake Fenton and Mount Pleasant.  The boy's scored 177.5 points and finished 4th of 4 in the small school division. Medals were awarded to the top 6 in each event regardless of division, but I will highlight top 6 finishers in the small school division unless otherwise noted. They include:

Tyler Hufnagel took 2nd in the division, but 3rd overall in the meet in the 300 m hurdles with a time of 44.80. He also took 4th in the division in the 110 m hurdles with a time of 17.69.

Gavin Mecomber took 5th in the high jump with a height of 5'0.

Gavin Holmes tied for 2nd in the pole vault with a height of 8'0.

Connor Wiley took 6th in the long jump with a distance of 16'8.5.

Seth Hintz took 6th in the discus with a throw of 85'1.

John Kulhanek took 5th in the shot put with a throw of 38'0.

Mason Brecht took 4th in the 100 m dash with a time of 12.25 and 6th in the 200 m dash with a time of 25.04.

Charlie Goldman took 6th in the 100 m dash with a time of 12.52 and took 6th in the 400 m dash with a time of 59.12.

Jack Smith took 4th in the 3200 m run with a 14 second PR time of 11:06.61.

The 4x400 relay team of Seth Hintz, Tyler Hufnagel, Connor Wiley, and Charlie Goldman took 3rd of 4 with a time of 4:00.03.

The 4x200 relay team of Seth Hintz, John Kulhanek, Mason Brecht and Charlie Goldman took 3rd of 4 with a season best time of 1:44.28. 

The weather was a bit rough tonight with the hail, rain and wind, but the boy's tried to push through as best as they could. They will take the track tomorrow at Holt High School in the Ram Jam Invite where field events will start at 10 am and running events at noon.
