Irelan Throws No-Hitter As Owosso Varsity Triumphs Over Lake Fenton

Macy Irelan was brilliant in the pitcher's circle on Wednesday, as Irelan threw a no-hitter to lead Owosso  past Lake Fenton 2-1.

The Trojans didn't take the lead until later in the game. Reyn Tuttle hit a line drive that was caught, scoring one run.

In the first inning, Lake Fenton got their offense started.

Owosso  evened things up at one in the bottom of the fifth inning when Reese Thayer singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Irelan was the winning pitcher for Owosso . The righty allowed zero hits and one run over seven innings, striking out 14.

Camryn McMillan took the loss for Lake Fenton. The hurler went six innings, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out four.

Thayer, Kendall Anderson, and Tuttle each managed one hit to lead Owosso  didn't commit a single error in the field. Karley Kincaid had 15 chances in the field, the most on the team.

Game 2

Owosso  Varsity  Softball Beats Lake Fenton By Ten Runs

The Trojans cruised to an easy victory over Lake Fenton 11-1 on Wednesday

Owosso  tallied four runs in the sixth inning. The rally was led by doubles by Lexi Hemker, Kendall Anderson, and Macy Irelan and a single by Reyn Tuttle.

Irelan was the winning pitcher for Owosso . Irelan surrendered one run on two hits over six innings, striking out eight.

Camryn McMillan took the loss for Lake Fenton. McMillan lasted five and a third innings, allowing 13 hits and 11 runs while striking out four and walking one.

The Trojans tallied 13 hits on the day. Jamie Maier, Anderson, Irelan, and Tuttle each collected multiple hits for Owosso. Maier went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Owosso in hits. They tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Reese Thayer led the way with two.

Owosso won the league with a 21-1 record
