SWARTZ CREEK HIGH SCHOOL: 4
Owosso fell to Swartz Creek, 1-4, in the first round of Districts. After losing by 7 in their previous meeting, Owosso was ready to step up this time around.
After going down by 2 in the first half, our team regrouped and stepped up their intensity in the second half. Brieanna Wood converted on a free kick in the 47th minute, scoring Owosso's only goal. Although we ultimately let in 4 goals, 2 were PK opportunities.
Standout play was highlighted by Jillian Klaver, Grace Perry, Leah Miller, and Rorie Babcock. We are proud of the way our team ended the season, as we showed growth and grit to end the season. We would like to thank our Seniors for everything they contributed to the team throughout the years. You will be missed.
