The Lady Trojans traveled to Webberville Saturday for an eight team tournament. Participating teams included Westland Lutheran, Potterville, Portland St. Patricks, Webberville, Charyl Stockwell, Livingston Christian, and Dansville. The Trojans started the morning against Dansville and split sets. Following the match senior Brielle Sovis left the team for medical evaluation and would return to watch the final match. Senior Jules Loomis would be called upon to fill her shoes. The Trojans swept Livingston Christian and split with Charyl Stockwell to put them in strong position entering Bracket Play. The Trojans beat host Webberville 2-0, lost the first set against Portland St. Pats in the semis before storming back to win in three setting up a finals rematch with Dansville. Dansville took the first set forcing the Trojans to once again stage a comeback and that they did dominating the final two sets to win the Webberville Tournament. Great Job by all. On the day Senior Kendall Ihm led the Trojans with 44 kills, 3 blocks, 47 assists, 39 digs and 8 aces. Junior Peyton Spicer added 26 kills, 12 blocks, and 22 digs. Senior Jamie Maier chipped in 22 kills, 26 digs, and 12 service aces. Junior Reese Thayer led the offence with 83 assists on the day and Junior Lexi Hemker led the defense with 62 digs.
