The Owosso High School boys swimming team traveled to host Fenton High School for the annual Genesee County Swim & Dive Invitational.  Owosso placed 8th out of 12 teams and scored 83 points.  The Grand Blanc Bobcats took 1st with 614 points, Fenton 2nd with 497 points, Swartz Creek/Flushing was 3rd with 250 points, Davison 4th with 171 points, Corunna 5th with 134 points, Holly 6th with 116 points, Flint Powers was 7th with 109 points, Lapeer was 9th with 69 points, Ortonville-Brandon 10th with 68 points,Flint Kearsley11th with 67 points and Flint Carman-Ainsworth was 12th with 27 points.

Highlights for the day for Owosso were the 200 Freestyle Relay team of Luke Wheeler, Nathan Gute, Ross Raatz and Parker Omer took 6th place with a time of 1:45.03.  The same 4 (Wheeler, Gute, Raatz and Omer) then took 8th place in the 400 Freestyle relay clocking a time of 4:03.91 .  In the individual events Parker  Omer raced to 12th place out of 97 swimmers in the 50 Freestyle by touching out in 25.17.  Omer then came back in the 100 Freestyle and took 13th out of 83 swimmers with a time of 56.19.  Owosso Diver Ross Raatz took 4th place in the 11 dive event by scoring 280.50 points.
