Owosso Girls Varsity basketball got a big win to open to the season against Kearsley  48-35.  In a game that was the season opener for both teams,Owosso and Kearsley battled throughout the first half with Owosso hanging on to a 19-16 advantage at half.  The game opened up in the 3rd quarter for the Trojans who extended their lead to 18, 38-20. Kearsley picked up the pressure again in the 4th with limited success as the Trojans closed out a game they led from the start.  Overall the girls, while showing some nerves early were able to execute and play through all the challenges this year has thrown at us.

Reyn Tuttle led Owosso with 15 points and 6 rebounds, Peyton Spicer had a double double in her first game for the Trojans, 14points / 12 rebounds / 4 blocks. Lexi Hemker and Skotti Ball-Duley, both starting their Trojan career's added 5 and 4 points respectively.  Alaynie Drury added 4 points and played outstanding defense keeping everyone organized.  Rounding out the scoring, Kaitlyn Cummings 2 points, and Stella Passow with 4 points.
