Owosso Varsity Girls Basketball defeats Swartz Creek 55-43

The Trojans return to the court after winter break, saw both teams struggle a little trying to find their rhythms.  Owosso only allowed 4 points in the first quarter and led after the first quarter 8-4.  The second quarter was more of the same with Owosso keeping the Dragons from getting good shots.  The Trojans took a 19-12 lead into the half.  Sparked by Gracie Gentleman and Kendall Anderson, Owosso took control in the 3rd, knocking down some big shots to go up 38-22.  The Trojans finished the game in the fourth, leading by double digits throughout.  Final Score 55-43

Leaders for the Trojans include: Gracie Gentleman with a 20 point, 4 steal performance.  Kendall Anderson scored from inside and outside adding 18 points. Anderson also had 5 rebounds, and 3 steals.  Peyton Spicer  added 7 points, 10 rebounds.  Skotti Ball-Duley had 6 points, and 5 rebounds.  Lexi Hemker found open teammates all night with 5 assists  and 2 points.  Reese Thayer added 2 for the Trojans.
