With only five runners, including one who has been sick since last week, Owosso girls were able to earn a 4th place finish out of 9 teams in the large school division of the Corunna Early Bird XC Invite, finishing just 5 points out of 2nd! Leading the way for our Trojans was captain Libby Summerland who cruised to a personal best 21:05 and a 4th place finish, less than a half second from 3rd and 4 seconds from 2nd. All five of our girls finished with top 30 medals! Despite being under the weather, Josie Jenkinson still managed a 12th place finish. Emma Johnson finished 14th, Onna West 22nd, and Claire Agnew 29th after cutting 46 seconds off her time! 

Our boys were lead by senior captain Jack Smith who PRed for the second straight meet to open the season, cutting an additional 15 seconds from his best time. Jack's 18:37 earned him a 17th place overall finish out of 95 athletes. Jack wasn't the only Trojan who set a personal record as part of the teams 6th place finish; Corey Gates, Richard Stuart, and Charlie Agnew all improved their times as well. Corey also earned a medal with his finish.
