Owosso competed in the Flint Metro League Championship meet on Wednesday. This race (worth 50% of the total standings) was combined with the previous 2 jamborees to determine team and individual placement in the league standings.Our girls competed really well and maintained their 3rd place standing, coming up just 6 points short of tying Fenton for 2nd place. After a year of many of our athletes battling injuries at different times, we are actually running faster times that we were last season overall. Our girls have shown a ton of grit and determination this year and I am very proud of what they have been able to accomplish. Individually, we even had 4 girls that were able to finish with all-conference honors. Libby Summerland finished as the overall 3rd place finisher in the league and Josie Jenkinson took 6th (3rd place in this race) to each earn 1st team all-conference honors. Emma Crandell and Onna West were also able to earn 3rd team all-conferences honors. 

The girls will return to Corunna on Saturday for the Shiawassee County Championship in the final meet before regionals the following weekend.
