Owosso fell state ranked Linden, 0-7. The Eagles controlled possession for the nearly entire game, but our team did an amazing job contesting shots and marking up. Of the 40 Linden shots (most of which were on target), Izzey Newbury stepped up to make 28 saves. Newbury and her back line showed grit and drive for the entire 80 minutes. Solid, physical play was also shown by midfielders, Lily Espinoza and Claudia Drake. We are looking forward to tomorrow night’s alumni game, as we head in to the final week of the season.
