The injury/illness bug is running wild through the girls' track team. We traveled to compete at the Davison Twilight Classic without a lot of athletes and event entries, but still came away with a few great results. As a team, we finished 23rd out of 30 teams. Individually, The best result of the day came from senior captain Madison Livingston who threw a career PR in discus by nearly 13 feet with a throw of 107' 8", just four inches from the additional qualifying mark for the state finals. She finished 3rd overall and 2nd in the medium schools division. Co-captain Lexi Martenis sprinted her way to a 7th overall finish (2nd in medium schools) in the 100m dash with a time of 13.19. She also jumped 15'8" in long jump, leaving at least 8" of room on the board every attempt and finishing 9th overall and 3rd in the medium schools division. Other PRs were set by Emma Perry, Haley Mickle, and Michaela Nichols. We will be back in action next Friday in Corunna at Regionals.
