The Owosso girls' track and field team traveled to Corunna for the Regional Finals on Friday. The performance of the meet goes to Lexi Martenis who took 3rd in the long jump and broke the 40-year-old school record of 16'11.75" by jumping 17'7.5" and qualifying for the state finals, where she will look to grab all-state honors. Lexi also finished 3rd in the 100m dash, just one place away from qualifying in that event as well. Finally, along with teammates Malyrie Montroy, Molly Hart, and Emma Smith, Lexi finished 4th in the 4x100m relay, less than a half of a second from qualifying for the state finals in that event as well. Other regional medal performances included Molly Hart who earned a second regional medal with a 7th place finish in the 100m dash and Allie Pumford who pole vaulted 8'0 on her way to a 6th place finish.
