The Owosso boys track and field team split tonight with Lake Fenton and Clio by scores of: Lake Fenton 77 Owosso 55 and Owosso 65 Clio 62 to win their first dual meet of the 2021 season. Scoring performances include:

John Kulhanek took 1st and the shot put and discus against both Lake Fenton and Clio with distances of 41'8 and 108'4 respectively. He also took 2nd in the 100 m dash against both with a time of 12.55.

Tyler Hufnagel took 1st in the 110 and 300 H against LF and 2nd against Clio with a times of 18.55 in the 110 and a PR of 45.70. He was also 3rd in the 200 m dash against LF with a time of 27.24.

Ethan Read took 1st against Clio in the 800 m run with a PR time of 3:00.54.

Gavin Mecomber took 1st against Clio and 2nd against LF in the high jump with a height of 5'2. 

Gavin Holmes took 1st against LF and 2nd against Clio in the pole vault with a height of 8'0.

Connor Wiley took 1st against LF and 2nd against Clio in the long jump with a distance of 15'10. 

Mason Brecht took 2nd against both teams in the 200 m dash with a time of 25.87. He also took 3rd against both teams in the 100 m dash and 110 m H with times of 12.63 and 20.52 respectively.

Seth Hintz took 2nd against Clio and 3nd against LF in the 400 m dash witha  time of 1:01.39. He was also 2rd against both teams in the discus with a big PR throw of 91'3.

Erick Foster took 2nd in the shot put against both teams with a throw of 31'1.

Noah Feinauer took 2nd against Clio in the 800 m run with a time of 3:09.33.

Jack Smith took 2nd against LF in the 3200 m run with a PR time of 11:22.08.

Jacob Cummings took 3rd against Clio in the 800 m run with a PR time of 3:28.10.

Corey Gates took 3rd against LF in the 3200 m run with a PR time of 12:06.36.

Joe Kulhanek took 3rd in the shot put against both teams with a throw of 30'9.

Brett Czarnopys took 3rd in the discus against both teams with a PR throw of 84'4.

The 4x100 m relay team of Matt Churchill, Joey Kaye, Joe Kulhanek, and Erick Foster beat Clio with a time of 57.01.

The 4x200 m relay team of Zach Wieler, Gavin Holmes, Tyler Dewley and Seth Hintz beat Clio with a time of 1:49.66.

I was proud of the way the boys ran, jumped and threw tonight on a really cold day and pushed through it all to win our first dual of the season. The boys will return to the track at OHS next Wednesday, April 28th, to close out the home season against Goodrich. Great win tonight Trojans!
