Seven teams met in Ovid-Elsie to compete in the Marauder Lion's Club Invitational on Friday evening. Our Trojan girls came away with a 2nd place finish behind a tough Frankenmuth team and brought home their first team trophy of the season. Scores were:

Individually, there was a ton to celebrate. Despite chilly, rainy and windy conditions, many athletes had a lot of success and a couple even managed huge PR performances. Athlete of the night goes to Libby Summerland who was able to come away with 1 first place finish in the 200m (28.89) and 3 second place finishes in pole vault (10'), the 400m (1:02.17), and the 4x400m relay (4:27.66).

Peyton Spicer: 1st - high jump (5'0), 2nd - discus (104'4" - enormous 14' PR, putting her squarely at the top of the region!), 4th - shot put (29'6.75")

Gabi Hufnagel: 1st - 300m hurdles (51.49), 2nd - 4x400m relay (4:27.66), 4th - 100m hurdles (19.27)

Claire Agnew: 1st - pole vault (11'0), 2nd - 4x400m relay (4:27.66)

Emma Crandell: 2nd - 3200m (12:17.54), 2nd - 4x400m relay (4:27.66), 3rd - 4x800m relay (11:29.17)

Kyle Bermudez: 2nd - long jump (13'11"), 3rd - 100m hurdles (18.58), 5th - pole vault (8'0")

Desiree Mofield: 2nd - shot put (31'10.25" - a PR of nearly 3 and a half feet and ranking her at 3rd in the region!)

Julionna West: 3rd - 4x800m relay (11:29.17), 5th - 800m (2:50.44)

Emma Johnson: 3rd - 4x800m relay (11:29.17)

Natalie Summerland: 3rd - 4x800m relay (11:29.17)

Isabel Root: 5th - high jump (4'2")

Our girls will be back in action on Tuesday at home in the final dual meet of the season as we put our undefeated conference record on the line against undefeated, defending champion Goodrich. Field events start at 4:00 and running events start at 4:30. The matchup promises to be a good one that projects to come down to a few points.
