Owosso High School Boys’ Varsity Basketball Program Announces Change in Leadership

Owosso High School’s Boys’ Varsity Basketball program had a change in their coaching leadership on January 4, when Coach Dave Williams resigned. The OHS Athletic Department moved quickly to stabilize the program to best support student-athletes.

Athletic Director Mr. Steve Irelan shared, “We are fortunate to have a knowledgeable, experienced high school basketball coach in Mr. Dave Owens, who is a teacher at Owosso High School. From this point forward, Mr. Owens will lead the boys’ basketball program as head coach. He will mentor other basketball coaches in the program by developing high school athletics knowledge and supporting them in gaining valuable high school coaching experiences. The OHS Athletic Department’s priority is to support Owosso student-athletes and create a positive experience for them on and off the court. I wish Coach Williams the best in his future endeavors.”
