Amber Berndt '96

AMBER BERNDT ‘96 - Berndt played played basketball and softball for four years for the Trojans.  She was one of the most decorated athletes of all time on the hardwood. Prior to earning a scholarship to play basketball at Grand Valley State, Amber led the Trojans as their MVP in 1994, 95, and 96.  The Big Nine Conference selected Berndt as the conference MVP in 1996, following her 1st-team all-conference campaign of 1995. She was also named to the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan’s (BCAM) third-team all-state.

At Grand Valley, Berndt currently holds several marks on the Lakers’ All-Time Leaders List in several categories, including: 8th - field goals made (528), 3rd - free throw % (81.7), 4th - blocks (148), 9th - games played (114), one of 26 players in program history to score over 1,000 points (1,270).
