The Owosso Girls Swim and Dive team traveled to Swartz Creek on Wednesday night to take part in the 6 team Creek Relays Invitational.  The Trojans dominated the meet winning 7 of the 10 events and placing in the top 3 in every event.  Owosso scored 124 points, Swartz Creek was 2nd with 96 points, Davison was third with 52 points, Corunna took 4th with 50 points, Brandon was fifth with 44 points and Lapeer took sixth with 32 points.  “The girls turned in a lot of great swims tonight and the divers performed well once again.  The girls put in a lot of quality work this summer and it is paying off with great early season results.  We are very happy to come away with two great invitational wins in our first two meets.” Coach Murray said.

In the first event the medley relay Macy Irelan, Faith Gates, Allie Pumford and Erika Ochodnicky started the night off with a big win, beating the second-place time by over 14 seconds.  In event 2 the 800 free relay the team of Mya LaMay, Maddy Kregger, Kelsi Parker and Marissa Spalding all turned in strong swims finishing 3rd.  In the 400 Medley relay the team of Erika Ochodnicky, Lily Davis, Macy Irelan and Lily Espinoza came home with the win.  In the 200 free relay the team of Alexis Chamberlin, Kregger, Lauren Taylor and Madison Livingston got another win for the Trojans.  In event 5 the divers were up.  Katie Clevenger and Faith Gates outscored the second-place team by almost 30 point and racked up another win.  The 200 fly relay saw some very quick times.  The Trojan team of Espinoza, LaMay, Madison Ketchum and Livingston touched the wall 3rd.  In event 7 the 500 relay the team of Spalding, Parker, Kregger and Pumford came in 2nd.  In the backstroke relay the team of Davis, Taylor, Chamberlin and Irelan raced to a first-place finish.  Event 9 was the breaststroke relay.  The team of Gates, Ketchum, Livingston and Espinoza out paced everyone for the win.  In the final event the 400 free relay the team of Ochodnicky, Davis, LaMay and Pumford finished the night off with another win.
