The Girls Swim and Dive Team traveled to Charlotte on Thursday night.  The Trojans had a great showing winning all 12 events and defeated Charlotte 134-36.  The team swept the top 3 places in 5 events.  This was the first duel meet of the season and Coach Murray was excited to see the progress the girls have made this early in the season.  This focus of this meet was getting good times and figuring out what events the girls will focus on later in the season. 

Event 1 was the medley relay.  The team of Gate Grinnell, Amanda Brainerd, Sophie Voss and  Cali Spalding turned in great swims taking first.  The team of Alexis Chamberlin, Lily Espinoza, Emily Pumford and Alyson Shane came in2nd.  The team of Natalie Nolph, Hannah Yerian,Bailey Cummings and Liz Vreibel took 4^th. 

In event 2 the 200 free Maddy Kregger had a strong swim taking the win, Madison Ketchum was 3^rd and Brooklynn Crackel was 4^th.

In the 200 IM Allie Pumford cruised to the victory and set a pool record.  Lily Usher was 2^nd and Lily Davis completed the 1,2,3 sweep taking 3^rd. 

The sprinters were up in the 50 free.  Macy Irelan who rarely gets to swim the event got win for Owosso. Mya LaMay took 2^nd and Cali Spalding was 5^th.    

In the 100 fly Macy Irelan turned in a great swim and got the win, followed closely by Lily Espinoza and Emily Pumford.  Emily swam the event for the first time and very strong.

 Alexis Chamberlin touched frist in the 100 free. Mya LaMay was 2^nd and Amanda Brainerd completed a sweep of the top 3 places for  the Trojans.

The distance girls were up next in the 500 free.  Kate Grinnell touched first followed by Sophie Voss.  If the first time they swam they event and both did very well with pacing.  Maddy Kregger complete the 1,2,3 sweep for the Trojan taking 3^rd.

Owosso’s A and B 200 free relay teams raced neck in neck until the end with the team of Irelan, LaMay,  Spalding and Kregger getting the win.  The team of Brainerd, E. Pumford, Shane and A Pumford took 2^nd.  The team of Sasha Smith, Gwen Millar, Vreibel and Terian came in 4^th.

In the backstroke Lily Davis touched first with Lily Usher taking 2^nd and Alexis Chamberlin completing the sweep taking 3rd. 

Lily Espinoza won the 100 breaststroke.   Sophie Voss came in 2^nd and Madison Ketchum was 4^th. 

In the final event the 400 free relay the team Grinnell, Usher, E. Pumford, A. Pumford finished 1^st, Espinoza, Irelan, Davis and LaMay came in 2^nd and Yerian, Spalding, Shane and Kregger touched 4^th. 

The Trojans next meet is Thursday vs Swatz Creek.
