Four RBI Day For Jamie Maier Brings Victory For Owosso Trojan Varsity Over Corunna

Jamie Maier showed timely hitting on Thursday, driving in four on three hits to lead Owosso  past Corunna 21-1 on Thursday. Maier drove in runs on a double in the fourth and a home run in the fifth.

 The Trojans opened up scoring in the first inning. An error scored one run for Owosso .

Owosso scored seven runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Lexi Hemker and Reyn Tuttle, a home run by Maier, and an error on a ball put in play by Reese Thayer.

Macy Irelan earned the victory on the rubber for Owosso . The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out 12 and walking one.

Jailia Campos took the loss for Corunna. The bulldog surrendered eight runs on six hits over two innings.

Owosso  socked one home run on the day. Maier had a dinger in the fifth inning.

The  Trojans  racked up 14 hits. Hemker, Maier, Thayer, Emily Pumford, and Nevaeh Ginger all managed multiple hits for Owosso . Maier and Hemker each managed three hits 

Makenna Edington led Corunna with two hits in two at bats.
