With Macy On The Mound, Owosso softball Shuts Out Kearsley

Macy Irelan threw a shutout to lead Owosso  past Kearsley 13-0 on Friday.

Reyn Tuttle led Owosso  to victory by driving in five runs. Tuttle went 2-for-4 at the plate. Tuttle drove in runs on a double in the fourth.

One bright spot for Kearsley was a single by Atkinson in the fifth inning.

Irelan was the winning pitcher for the Trojans. The pitcher went five innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out 11 and walking zero.

Crunkright took the loss for Kearsley. The pitcher lasted three innings, allowing 11 hits and 11 runs while striking out three and walking one.

Owosso  had 13 hits in the game. Jamie Maier, Irelan, Tuttle, and Lexi Hemker each collected multiple hits for the Trojansy. Maier led Owosso  with four hits in four at bats. Owosso didn't commit a single error in the field. Karley Kincaid had 11 chances in the field, the most on the team.

Atkinson went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Kearsley in hits.

Game 2

Macy Of Owosso Shuts Out KearsleyMacy Irelan didn't allow a single run as the Trojans defeated Kearsley 14-0 on Friday. Irelan allowed just one hit.

Irelan collected four hits in four at bats to help lead Owosso to victory. Irelan doubled in the first, homered in the second, homered in the fourth, and singled in the fifth.

Owosso fired up the offense in the first inning, when Reyn Tuttle singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

The Trojans scored five runs in the fourth inning. Irelan and Karley Kincaid each had RBIs in the big inning.

One bright spot for Kearsley was a single by Crunkright in the second inning.

Irelan led Owosso  to victory in the circle. Irelan lasted five innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out eight and walking zero.Crunkright took the loss for Kearsley. The hurler lasted three and a third innings, allowing 12 hits and 12 runs while striking out one and walking one.

Owosso socked three home runs on the day. Kincaid had a homer in the fourth inning. Irelan went for the long ball in the second and fourth innings. TheTrojans  racked up 16 hits on the day. Irelan, Madyson Rainey, Tuttle, Nevaeh Ginger, and Emily Pumford all managed multiple hits Irelan led Owosso with four hits in four at bats.

Crunkright went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Kearsley in hits.

Owosso improves to 22-3 overall ans 17-1 in league.  They travel to Swartz Creek tomorrow for a 1:00 league double header
