BRANDON HIGH SCHOOL: 28
Owosso played their best game of the year battling undefeated, three time league champion Brandon to a one touchdown game into the fourth quarter. The Trojans threatened to blow things open but stalled on two drives inside the 10-yard line and threw a late pick 6 interception to seal things. Owosso held the Brandon offense to their lowest league point total since 2019. The defense was led by Cody Fields and Damien Hart who both tallied 7 tackles. Bryce Johnston chipped in 6. Offensively the Trojans spread the carries around with 4 backs going for 30 plus yards. Hugh Doyle was 7-17 passing for 90 yards, including a 25 yard strike to freshman Hoyt Patrick. The final ended at 28-7. Owosso hosts Lake Fenton for homecoming next week.
