April 26th v Linden Game 1

The Trojans lost a heartbreaker in game 1 to Linden, 8-6. The Trojans tied the game in the 4th inning and took the lead in the 6th, but Linden rallied in the 7th, scoring 6 runs to take the lead for good. Hugh Doyle and Wyatt Leland both pitched well, giving up 10 hits and striking out 5 Linden batters. The Trojan offense was led by Peyton Fields with 3 hits, Teddy Worthington with 2 hits, Leland with 2 hits, and Jay Tuttle and Branix Pakosz with 1 hit each. 

April 26th v Linden Game 2 

After a rocky start and giving up 5 early runs, the Trojans came back and won game 2 with a 6th inning walk-off, defeating Linden 8-6. Damon Burdick settled in on the mound for the Trojans, pitching 4 innings giving up 5 runs on 4 hits and striking out 4 Linden batters. Branix Pakosz held Linden in relief, throwing 2 innings, giving up 2 hits and striking out 1. Jay Tuttle led the offense with 3 hits, including the game winning walk-off single. Tuttle also had 4 RBI’s for the Trojans. Teddy Worthington had a big single in the 6th inning and Joey Wagner, Peyton Fields, and Ben Welz all collected hits for the Trojans.
