Owosso Triumphs in Final Swim Meet: A Memorable Victory for Seniors

In an exhilarating conclusion to the regular swim season, the Owosso swim team surged to a remarkable victory at the invitational meet held tonight, amassing a total of 381 points. The team's exceptional performance with competitors from Corunna, Lapeer, and Kearsley/Lake Fenton, who scored 276, 243, and 189 points, respectively. This win not only showcased the depth of talent within the Owosso team but also ensured that the coveted traveling trophy would remain in their possession for another year.

The meet was particularly poignant for the senior members of the team, marking their final regular-season competition in high school swimming. The mixture of triumph and nostalgia made for a bittersweet atmosphere, with the seniors leading the charge to secure a memorable victory.

The Owosso swimmers also showed strong performances in other categories. The 200 Medley Relay team secured a second-place finish, as did Aiden DeFrenn in both the 200 free and 100 free, Jack Livingston in the 200 IM, Tyler Jurhs in the 100 backstroke, and Matthew Shattuck in the 100 breaststroke.

Third-place finishes were earned by Nick Nidiffer in the 200 free and 100 free, Ryan Dahl in the 500 free, and Jack Livingston in the 100 breaststroke, showcasing the depth of the team's talent and determination.
