Owosso Soccer fell to Corunna, 1-2. Following a lackluster first half performance that saw Corunna win the overwhelming majority of 50-50 balls, the Trojans were in desperate need of a second half boost of energy. We went down 0-2 at halftime, missing many opportunities in and around the box. Second half performances were considerably better on all parts of the pitch. The team was aggressively battling for balls and exhibiting a renewed vigor. Owosso finally made it on the board when Iszabelle Jameson won an aerial battle against the Corunna keeper, which led to a goal by centerback, Mallory Dennis. Although the Trojans had many opportunities in the box, the team came up short, suffering a tough loss to their crosstown rivals. Solid second half play was highlighted by Mallory Dennis, Grace Perry, and Leah Miller.
