Owosso Girls' Soccer fell to Laingsburg, 0-3, but put up a solid 80-minute effort. Our team struggled to find a spark in the previous two games this week, falling far behind in the 1st half of both games. The team showed a renewed passion and level of intensity today. They maintained disciplined shape throughout the game, exhibiting improved spatial awareness. Everyone responded to this week's team conversations with a physical, focused game. 

Laingsburg's only first half goal resulted from an unmarked player at the top of the box.Their final two goals came relatively late in the second half: one from a corner kick and the other a solid shot to the far side netting.

Although we failed to string together many combination plays or strong shooting opportunities, our defensive shape was consistent and compact. All players showed moments of grit and intensity. Lily Usher continues to impress us with her solid diving saves and willingness to put her body in harm's way. Players flipped over her multiple times today. Physical Owosso play was led by center backs, Olivia Savage and Mallory Dennis.
