The Owosso Boys Track and Field team competed in the Saginaw Valley State University Division 1/2 Indoor meet yesterday. The meet was an unscored meet featuring 36 teams from Division 1 and 2 from around the state. Any competitor who finished in the overall top 8, in each event, was awarded a medal for their performance. Tyler Hufnagel finished 6th in the 60 m hurdles with a PR time of 8.96 seconds. Gavin Mecomber finished in a tie for 4th in the high jump with a height of 5'9", just an inch off of his PR from last season.

There was some outstanding athletes competing yesterday and, as a result, we had 19 PRs out of a possible 21 individual performances. I was thrilled with wow competed yesterday and I'm really looking forward to seeing what we can do when it warms up and we can get outside every day.
