The Owosso boys took a small group of 10 athletes to Holt High School to compete at the Ram Jam Invite on Saturday morning and scored 14 points. The meet was organized to honor four former track coaches at Holt HS who have recently passed away, including my father, Jerry Gillett. We had just run at the Cavalier Invite the night before and the boys who went to the meet ran hard and competed for the second day in a row. It was a beautiful day for a track meet and a great event. The meet was organized and scored like a regional meet. Scoring performances included:

Tyler Hufnagel took 2nd in the 300 m hurdles and 6th in the 110 m hurdles with times of 44.55 amd 18.11 respectively.

John Kulhanek took 8th in the shot out with a throw of 38'1. 
I was proud of the boys who were able to make it to the meet and I am grateful for their efforts in this meet that was so personal to me. The boys will return to the track on Thursday at Corunna for the FML Championship meet.
