Score
TROJANS: 86
BRANDON HIGH SCHOOL: 51

Owosso girls' track and field went into Brandon on Tuesday evening and came out with an 86-51 victory, bringing our FML record to 4-0 on the season and setting up a showdown with 4-0 Goodrich at home next Tuesday for a regular season conference championship. The season will then conclude with a Flint Metro Championship meet where all schools will compete in the same meet for 50% of the overall standings at stake.

As has been the case all season, many Owosso athletes competed very well and had personal or season best performances.  Field event queen Peyton Spicer once again showed her dominance in high jump, shot put, and discus with wins in all three events. Peyton won high jump with a jump of 5'2" inches, shot put at 30'5.5", and discus with a toss of 87'2".

Emma Crandell also came away with 3 first place finishes when she won the 3200m (12:37.35), 1600m (5:46.25 - PR), and the 4x800m relay (11:27.26) along with teammates Emma Johnson, Natalie Summerland, and Julionna West). Emma also showed her versatility with a PR in pole vault (7'0")

On top of being a part of the winning 4x100m relay team with teammates Gabi Hufnagel, Khloe Muzzy, and Isabel Root (57.63), Kyle Bermudez had a nice win in the 100m hurdles (18.55), a 2nd place finish in long jump (13'8.5"), and a 3rd place in pole vault (7'6"). Not a bad day!

Libby Summerland took 2 firsts of her own to go along with a 2nd place finish in pole vault (10'). Libby came away with wins in the 100m (14.11- SR) as well as the 200m (28.48).

Gabi Hufnagel also had a pair of W's and a 2nd place finish. Even after a near fall in the 300m hurdles, Gabi was able to regain her composure and secure a win. She also was a part of the winning 4x100m relay team. Finally, she had a huge PR in the 100m hurdles and finished 2nd (18.67).

Senior captain Emma Johnson is having a fantastic season and keeps getting better with every meet. Emma was able to pull away from the pack in the 800 to earn both a PR and a victory in the 800m (2:48.84). She was also a part of the winning 4x800m relay team.

Claire Agnew did her thing on Tuesday, winning pole vault with a jump of 11'0", narrowly missing another school record.

Natalie Summerland was also a part of that winning 4x800m relay team as well as having a 2nd place finish in the 800m with a time of 2:51.14.

Desiree Mofield had another great day throwing with a pair of 2nd place finishes. Desiree threw a personal best 75'5" in discus and 28'6" in shot put.

Onna West was the last leg of the winning 4x800m relay team as well as earning a 3rd place finish and personal best 6:08.97 in the 1600m.
