The Owosso boys track and field team opened the ’23 outdoor season with a 33-104 loss to Corunna Tuesday night in a FML contest. Scoring performances included:

Tyler Hufnagel took 1^st in both the 110 and 300 m hurdles with times of 16.06 and 43.29.

Gavin Mecomber took 1^st in the high jump with a height of 5’8. He also took 2^nd in the 110 m hurdles with a PR time of 16.42.

Max Baade took 1^st in the pole vault with a PR height of 10’6”. He also took 2^nd in the 400 m dash with a PR time of 56.16.

Simon Erfourth took 2^nd in the 1600 m and 3200 m runs with times of 5:05.06 and a PR time of 11:03.95.

Isaac Williams took 3^rd in the 100 m dash with a PR time of 12.39.

We had some really solid performances to start the season, but we also had a lot of first time nerves at the meet. The Trojans will be competing at the Fowler Under the Lights Track Invitational. The field events start at 4:00 PM.
