Owosso competed in the Flint Metro League cross country championship meet on Wednesday. This was the third FML jamboree that counted toward 50% of the league standings this season, while the first two counted toward 25% each. Unfortunately, we lost to Linden for the first time this season (by a single point), but still managed to tie for 2nd place overall in the league behind Goodrich as we beat Linden in the first two jamborees. Linden had an unbelievable performance as 5 out of our 6 girls ran either personal best or season best times. 

Individually, we had 4 girls earn 2nd team all-conference honors with their performances during the three jamborees. Emma Crandell ran a fantastic race, finishing 9th and cutting 37 seconds off of her PR (19:22). Libby Summerland finished 13th with a time of 19:45. Josie Jenkinson finished just 4 seconds later in 14th (19:49). Onna West was able to cut 28 seconds off of her season best time, breaking her personal best time by 10 seconds. She finished in 16th with a time of 20:07, inching very close to breaking the tough 20:00 mark. Natalie Summerland finished 23rd with a personal best 20:40. Skotti Ball-Duley finished in 30th place, moving up 7 places from her 37th place finish in both of the first two jamborees with a time of 21:15.
